Metropolitan Hospital was founded in 2001 and is now well established in the private health sector. It covers all medical specialties and features all the diagnostic laboratories, providing comprehensive medical and nursing care. It has the only Intensive Care - Acute Stroke Unit in Greece that is certified by the European Stroke Organisation.
It has distinguished doctors from Greece and abroad and utilizes the most modern diagnostic equipment and the latest technology, offering high quality health services, showing respect towards the patient. It has developed partnerships with model nursing centers and scientific institutions abroad.
Annually, around 35,000 patients are hospitalized in the 300 beds available, while 350,000 patients are treated in the Outpatient and Emergency Departments. It partners with more than 1,500 physicians and employs approximately 800 nurses and paramedics.
